I guess you might call Iowa City
Uh, the "Athens" of Johnson County

 Over in Des Moines they refer To Iowa City as...
The "People's Republic of Johnson County"



 

I like to refer to Iowa City as..."East Coralville"

Iowa City is home to about 30,000 students, a few thousand "Macademics"
and about 30,000 humans...known to the others as servants. 

It is fascinating that I sit sort of high atop the very center of Iowa City but as I look in every direction, the end of it is only a few hundred yards or a short walk away. The town is really quite small.

alcohol plants run full bore...for now. They exist by Government decree,
probably coming to an end soon and looking shaky. Cross your fingers Iowa as farmland takes a dive this year.
