into newsrooms to study (ascertain) the
way that news is chosen and to
 monitor (control) how the stories are chosen,
so that Thee and Me might gain access
 to the news we need to know.
forget assaults on the 2nd amendment (and others), this
bald faced and transparent attempt to inject Government
monitors into newsrooms everywhere should strike TERROR 
into the hearts of anyone who would live in a free society. 
The right to Free Speech (1st Amendment) is the very cornerstone of any Democratic society.
Any attempt to screw with it should be met with fierce Resistance.

The FCC was forced to back off this plan and very quickly.
Despite no coverage in the major liberal newspapers and 
almost no coverage from ABC, NBC, CBS and PBS...even the AP failed to cover the story. the hue and cry was so great and so quick,  they abandoned the "plot".

I predict the "Statists" will be back and try again on some future date and under some more subtle guise. After all "Freedom of Speech" is something the Liberal mind finds intolerable to bear from those who do not agree with them.
