As long as we are out and about, why not help out the Ukrainians and help them fight a non war against the non existent insurgents.
It is true that hackers should be identified and brought to justice. This does not change the fact that the celebrities involved have been revealed (literally) as major squirrels...and not very bright people.

Chaos abounds
[ ˈkāˌäs ] noun complete disorder and confusion:
bedlam · pandemonium · havoc · turmoil ·tumult · commotion · disruption · upheaval · uproar · maelstrom · muddle · mess · shambles · anarchy · lawlessness · entropy · train wreck
behavior so unpredictable as to appear random, owing to great sensitivity to small changes in conditions.Fortunately there is an election soon...if there are enough bright people left to set things right.
That this nation and the Administration...
of this nation has so screwed up foreign policy and is in this serious business far over it's pointy little heads...is so obvious that even a child can clearly See the thing.
It rather unfortunately leaves us with the dread prospect that we must fight a war all over again...a thing that none of us, nobody wants. It was all so avoidable, as the rats that have jumped ship are now pointing out. Alas, is it morning in America again?
Humanity, now numbering over 7 billion must surely now consider weaning itself off the habit of transporting itself willy-nilly all over the face of the Earth...mostly for frivolous reasons... on airplanes.
Yes, this does restrict the freedom of humanity, but there are far worse things out there than Ebola. If you idiots insist on breeding even more wonderful human beings, remember "when, not if".
I am told that by not relying on air travel so much, we could solve the fuel crisis and many environmental problems in one fell swoop. Anybody who remembers 9-11 and the no-fly days that followed, might recall the clear, blue and perfect sky.
Let us all vow to slow down and travel...sanely.

Snobs are rather easy to live around. They are naturally not pleasant folks and everybody knows this. They do give us all the great opportunity to live out our lives...sort of in our own personal version of "Beverly Hillbillies". We can front them off in a guileless manner and always win, each interaction a humorous experience.
I feel blessed to live "way out here on the prairie" in a very small place where a very great slice of the Iowa City population is a snob of one sort or the other.

Skinny Jeans...
I really do not have any real objection to skinny jeans in general, but would ask that they not be sold in Iowa City. The locals might be tempted to buy them and try to stuff their bloated bodies into these jeans. I remember well the mini skirt and the years following as the "corn fed" attempted to squeeze themselves into these things. Years of eyesores walking around town and years of stifling laughs.
No, Johnson County is far better suited for the return of the "sack dress". (Google fads of the fifties)

I was sitting here in my favorite chair tonight watching Pawn Stars and the usual cluster of 30-60 second spots came on...usually I remember to hit mute when this happens as they go on and on, eight or ten of them in a row. The marketing idiots are going to push it to the point where us couch potato types will just give up watching television at all. We will all collectively just give up and go outside and play...like we should.
I try and make mental notes on products that are being advertised, so I might avoid them, I have found these products are uniformly more expensive. After all, if a product is advertised
the cost of the marketing must be figured in to the price. I have checked this out hundreds of times and I find advertised products are almost always more expensive, trust Me.
Anyway tonight I forgot to hit mute and found Myself watching an advertisement for "Start Up New York" a sort of a scheme to encourage people to start new small business in...uh, New York. Apparently you would pay no taxes for ten years...they claim. It occurred to Me that I had seen this advertisement many dozens of times...and here I sit way out here on the prairie in the middle of nowhere...in Iowa. Why have I seen this thing so many times? Do those fools in New York think that there are enough hicks out here in Iowa that we will all move to New York and start up a small business? "Balls", said Holden Caulfield!
Then it occurred to Me...I could purchase an old moving van, hire some of those out of work youth who used to sell magazines door to door (when there were magazines to sell) and take off for New York to service those who are moving out in droves to avoid high taxes. By the time the ten years were up...so would My life expectancy. I would never pay any taxes.
Then I realized that all the profit would be eaten up deadheading as there would be no return loads back to New York. So it goes watching television.

For most Americans
the last eight years or so
have been one horror after another.
These horrors we can take...
assimilate and endure.
The hardest thing for most folks
is the distinct notion that
everything is out of control
with no direction...no agreement
of common goals.
We can all wait for somebody to
step up and give us common goals we
all might live with.
And take heart that whatever that does
not kill the American Spirit, might
make it stronger.
The importance of being "Ernst"
Iowa has had a long history of reserving at least one Senate seat to supply Massachusetts with a third Senate seat. It would be refreshing to see Iowa break this cycle. It would also be refreshing to see Iowa send a woman to the senate. I have long been someone that thinks the "more Women in Congress...the more better."
I hope Joni goes to Congress and if She does not get what She wants, She should break every "winder in town".
